Founded in 1992 by music director and conductor, Bob Lappin, The Palm Beach Pops has distinguished itself as a world-class pops orchestra.
The Palm Beach Pops Orchestra present over 35 concerts featuring special guest artists and the music of The Great American Songbook at venues across the country as well as The Kravis Center for the Performing Arts in West Palm Beach, The Carole & Barry Kaye Performing Arts Auditorium at FAU in Boca Raton and at the Eissey Campus Theatre at PBCC in Palm Beach Gardens each year from November through April.
This season features Judy Collins, The John Pizzarelli Quartet, Michael Andrew and others, as well as the beloved music of Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, Dean Martin, Peggy Lee, Nat King Cole and more.

Agifted pianist, recording artist, and music personality,
Bob Lappin is among the most innovative and creative talents on today’s concert stage. His keyboard skills, panache and genuine love for a wide spectrum of music provide the impetus for him to create programs that appeal to all ages. He’s as much at home with the music of Jerome Kern and Andrew Lloyd Webber as he is with Stevie Wonder and Barry Manilow. Maestro Lappin researches each concert in depth, formulates the final program, and recruits the best talent in bringing his ideas to life for a memorable performance.

Over the years, Bob Lappin and The Palm Beach Pops orchestra have welcomed the extraordinary talents of guest artists such as Doc Severensen, Mel Tormé, Hal Linden, Lena Horne, Maureen McGovern, Cleo Laine and John Dankworth, Diahann Carroll, Kenny Rogers, Vic Damone, Jack Jones, Lainie Kazan, Robert Klein, Carol Lawrence, George Shearing and the George Shearing Quintet, jazz legends Bucky Pizzarelli and John Pizzarelli and his trio, and Keely Smith — to name just a few.
